Our body changes throughout life: cells die and are regenerated. But with each decade they recover worse and worse. After 30 years, a person begins to lose 1-2% of muscle mass every year, even if he leads an active lifestyle. All body tissues suffer losses, therefore, signs of age appear on the skin. We call it aging and we know that it cannot be stopped.
External signs of aging appear around the age of 25
Why do signs of aging appear on the skin:
- fat layer decreases;
- bone mass decreases;
- connective tissue is destroyed.
Metabolism slows down in connective tissue. The building materials of our body are produced less and less: proteins (collagen and elastin) and polysaccharides (glycosaminoglycans). Roughly speaking, the aging process lies in the gradual loss of these components. What can we do? Just trying to slow down aging. Often also improves the condition of the skin, rejuvenating it with the help of efficient care.
How do essential oils for the face work against wrinkles?
In plants, essential oils take part in metabolic processes. The main components of esters - terpenoids and aromatic compounds - very quickly and actively enter various chemical reactions in the cell. Active chemical reactions also occur when ether comes into contact with human skin. Phenols, aldehydes, organic acids and alcohols in ether cause skin irritation, and blood flows faster to the place of contact with them. Thanks to this effect, compresses and applications with oil work. The higher the oil concentration and the longer the exposure, the more active the skin reaction.
Essential oils do not contain vitamins. Vitamins are stored either in water or in fat; no fat or water in esters.
Use face oil for wrinkles
When we need to treat fine lines and wrinkles, the options seem endless. Should you choose a light anti-aging cream or moisturizer? What about vitamin C serum or acid gel?
Essential oils can't get rid of wrinkles, but they can help reduce them.
They can also:
- accelerate collagen production
- improve skin tone
- flatten the skin
- reduce inflammation
- increase epithelial cell turnover
- protect your skin from the environment
Which face oil to choose for wrinkles instead of cream?
One of the most valuable components of skin oil is lipid (fat). They glue the horn cells (scales) together, creating a protective barrier that retains moisture. Also protects against the penetration of harmful microorganisms.
By applying it to the skin in its pure form, it seems that we thereby strengthen this protective barrier, and the skin is saturated with moisture.
But the problem is that none of the vegetable oils contain the right lipid ratio for our dermis. When applied to the face, we immediately feel moisturized and comfortable as it smoothes the smelly scales and softens. It also creates a film that retains moisture on the surface.
If we continue to use it regularly, it will start to penetrate deeper into the skin layer and erode our own lipids. Their ratio will begin to change, which will lead to the destruction of the lipid barrier. The skin will become drier and flaky.
Therefore, to strengthen the lipid layer, it is better to take fat internally.
But there is also good news. Thanks to their moisturizing and softening properties, vegetable fats are ideal for working with wrinkles, if you approach them wisely.
In combination with other components, they have a good effect on the skin and smooth fine wrinkles. Therefore, they are also recommended for use in various mask recipes.
But so that the skin does not get used to it, the recipe needs to be constantly changed. But more on that below. For the reasons mentioned above, it is not recommended to use it regularly in its pure form, so replacing it with daily care instead of a cream will not be effective, as it can cause severe harm.
For wrinkles, for additional moisturizing and softening purposes, it is used in its pure form only in emergency cases for 1-2 weeks. This must be done while observing the following rules:
- Before applying, the face must be wet;
- number of drops according to your skin type: dry 3-4 drops, normal 2-3, oily 1-2;
- after 15-20 minutes, remove the cover with a napkin, thereby removing the excess;
- after use, be sure to use a moisturizer;
- Apply the oil to the area around the eyes two hours before going to bed to prevent severe swelling.
An effective and safer option to use anti-wrinkle oil is to add a small amount of drops to various masks, the recipe of which is given below. In combination with other components for 20-30 minutes, such a composition will only bring benefits, provided that it is chosen correctly (more on this later).
Anti-aging can be done 2-3 times a week. At the same time, to prevent the skin from getting used to it, it is recommended to change the composition of the mask once a month.
